Let's mix it up a bit this holiday season. Our recipe for Orange and Apple Cranberry Sauce is simply bursting with fruity flavor, and is much more exciting than the usual cranberry sauce recipe. The combination of so many sweet and juicy fruits makes for an exciting and appetizing sauce. It pairs extremely well with all of your typical holiday sides, although it tastes best smeared over some turkey. Your friends and family will be very impressed by your new twist on this classic recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 (10-ounce) bags of cranberries
  • 2 large cans mandarin oranges
  • 2 large cans crushed pineapple
  • 3 fresh tart Granny apples, crushed in a food processor
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil cranberries in water until they pop, approximately 10 minutes.

  2. Add oranges, pineapple, apple, cinnamon and sugar and then simmer until reduced to a thick syrupy mixture.

  3. Cool and serve.
