It is a staple of Thanksgiving celebrations, with its flaky crust and flavorful center. Before, that flaky crust would be the downfall of everyone on a gluten free diet. But with this recipe for Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie, everyone in the family can now enjoy this delicious holiday dessert!

This easy pumpkin pie recipe requires only seven ingredients. The crust can either be bought gluten free, or we have some easy homemade gluten free pie crust recipes for you to try. Bake the pie for about an hour, and afterwards you’ll have a mouthwatering dessert that the whole family will love.

  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons gluten free pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 gluten free pastry crust, packaged or homemade recipe


To Make the Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.  

  2. In a large bowl, stir together the pumpkin puree, eggs and sugar until smooth. Add spices and then add the milk gradually, whisking until it is smooth and completely combined.

  3. Pour into raw pastry crust and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until the filling is just barely firm in the center.
