"Gluten free tiramisu! I am simply elated to have found Schar gluten free ladyfingers so I made my first ever tiramisu. If you are an espresso lover this dessert is for you and won’t disappoint! A great dessert to make ahead for a gathering.

A few tips when making:

  • quickly dip the ladyfingers in espresso, no more than a second
  • pick the espresso you like (stong espresso or a lighter blend for a more subtle flavor)"

Cooking Vessel Size9 x 9 baking dish

Ingredients

  • 1 package Gluten Free ladyfingers
  • 3 cups Mascarpone
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 cups Chilled heavy whipping cream
  • 3 eachs Egg yolks
  • 1 cup Espresso

Instructions:

  1. Beat egg yolks and 1/4 cup Sugar together until combined and then set aside

  2. Using a metal bowl beat the heavy whipping cream and 1/4 cup sugar on high until medium peaks are formed. Fold in the mascarpone

  3. Combine the egg yolk mixture with the heavy whipping cream mixture. Set aside

  4. Dust a 9x9 dish with cocoa powder. Set aside

  5. In a large flat container pour the espresso in and if desired a splash of rum. Quickly dip each lady finger flat side down in the espresso and place a single layer in the 9x9 dish

  6. Spread a layer of mascarpone cream mixture over the first layer of lady fingers

  7. Repeat dipping lady fingers in espresso to complete next layer of the tiramisu *tip-arrange the lady fingers in the opposite direction of the first layer for better coverage

  8. Top with the last layer of mascarpone cream mixture

  9. Top with chocolate shavings and a dusting of cocoa powder

  10. Refrigerate for at least 4-5 hours before serving
