Yields20 Brownie Bites

Preparation Time5 min

Chilling Time2 hr

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar plus additional 2 tablespoons for topping
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup Nutella or similar chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup gluten free all-purpose flour, we used King Arthur gluten free flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  2. Put the 1/2 cup powdered sugar and the cocoa powder into a wire sieve and sift into the bowl of an electric mixer.

  3. Add the chocolate spread and the butter and mix on low until a soft paste is formed. Slowly add the flour and mix just until combined.

  4. Test the dough by rolling some between your fingers - it should hold together but not be sticky, about the texture of Play-Doh. If it is too sticky, add a bit more flour. If it's too soft, add a bit more Nutella. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand until well mixed.

  5. Roll by into small balls and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Chill 2 hours or longer before serving.

  6. When ready to serve, place the remaining 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar into a small wire sieve and gently dust the brownie bites. Store bites, covered, in the refrigerator.

Notes

Not all chocolate chips are gluten free, check to make sure your bag of semi-sweet mini chocolate chips is safe for you and your family.

Nutella AND no bake? This has to be heaven. I'm definitely trying these.

I won't say how many I ate, but I will say that I need to make another batch pronto.

Cute, easy, tasty... what more could you ask for in a dessert?!

Holy cow were these good! My only suggestion? Add more Nutella next time!

You had me at Nutella, but the fact that they're no bake is an added bonus!

Wow! These were delicious! I really liked the chocolate chips because they added a nice crunch. Super chocolately and tasty. I also think adding powdered sugar on top is a nice addition.

OH MY!!!! SO MUCH CHOCOLATE IN ONE BITE! You will love these, trust me!

These were pretty good, but I wished that they tasted more like Nutella. Next time I might add some crushed hazelnuts to them.

These were chocolatey and yummy. They tasted like chocolate truffles - I couldn't tell by taste that Nutella was in the recipe. Personally, I'd probably rather just have a piece of chocolate, though.

I was delightfully surprised by the slight crunch of the chocolate chips in the middle. It's perfect for anyone who loves chocolate and it would make a great addition to any holiday party or potluck!

These were 100% amazing. They were a little crumbly, but held together enough so that they weren't hard to eat. The chocolate chips and nutella combo made sure that the fudgy chocolate flavor wasn't overhwleming

These bites are incredibly rich, so that makes this the perfect recipe for chocolate lovers!
