Joseph Joseph Helix Potato Ricer

Joseph Joseph Helix Potato Ricer

Reviewed by , Editor,

The Joseph Joseph Helix Handy Potato Ricer is a uniquely designed kitchen tool. Instead of pushing down on the handle like a traditional ricer, you simply bring the handles together, which is much easier on your hands. Mashed potatoes are quick and simple to make using this ricer.

If you are used to smashing and whipping your potatoes until it feels like your arm is going to fall off, then it is time to finally give your arm a break. This ricer is incredibly easy on your hands and arms. Simply load it up with cooked potatoes, and bring the two pieces together. In seconds, you will have silky smooth "mashed" potatoes. The process is shockingly quick and easy.

This ricer can make far more than mashed potatoes. It is the best tool for making gnocchi from scratch because the potatoes won't be chunky. I also liked using it to make healthy vegetable purees, and even homemade baby food.

I like that the two pieces separate completely. This makes cleaning it easier than traditional ricers. The stainless steel cleans off well with hot water and the helix top doesn't have small grooves for food to get lodged. This tool is a vast improvement on the potato ricer of yesteryear!
