The Easy Gluten-Free Cookbook

The latest book, The Easy Gluten-Free Cookbook, from well-known blogger, Lindsay Garza is filled with delicious recipes you can make for family and friends. The handy cookbook includes over 100 gluten free recipes, plus great tips for living gluten free. All of the recipes are chosen because they are simple, yet tasty!
I love the first part of the book because it is helpful, whether you are new to the gluten free life or have been eating gluten free for a lifetime. I especially like the guidelines she sets forth for eating a balanced gluten free diet. One tip, which the cookbook helps out with, is to minimize gluten free prepackaged products. Not only are they expensive, but they are often filled with excess sugar and fat. The homemade recipes she gives are enough to eat delicious food for all your meals.
Each and every recipe in this cookbook is truly easy to make, thus the title. Whether a one-pot meal, or 5-ingredient recipe, the author designs all of her recipes to be simple for a any home cook to make. The chapters are broken down into different meal types, starting with Smoothies and Breakfast. The chapters also begin with beautiful, bright photographs of the recipes to come, enticing you to start turning the page.
I enjoyed many of the recipes in the cookbook because of their simplicity. The Lemony Kale Salad with Parmesan and Golden Raisins (pg. 30) quickly became a favorite go-to salad in my house. I like the mix of classic recipes that happen to be gluten free, and those adjusted to be gluten free. The Loaded Potato Skins (pg. 41) is a great example of a recipe that is generally gluten free, but one you may not think of as an easy-to-make side. This recipe shows how simple such a tasty dish can be to make at home. The Cheesy Italian Meatballs (pg. 103) are beyond divine as a dinner dish.
This cookbook is filled with fast and fun recipes to make whether you eat gluten or not. If you try Lindsay's recipes, you can be sure the whole family will look forward to dinner every night.
