As a Personal Trainer, Sports Nutrition Consultant and Fitness Competitor, Wendi thought she had her health on lock down. Training for muscle mass and leanness, she manipulated her diet to achieve her goals and knowing the ins and outs of dietary supplementation.
An unannounced disease made it’s way in, wrecking havoc on every system of her body. All that training she had done could not have prepared her for what would be the challenge of her life. Desperate for answers and fighting for her life, her experience in the health field took a wild turn. Determined to win, she set out to learn everything she needed to know in order to ask all the right questions and get to the bottom of her failing health.
Six years, countless medical textbooks and thousands of dollars later, Wendi emerged a survivor with a new set of rules for her health and wellness. Having jumped through the hoops, over the hurdles and off the ledges herself, she gained valuable insight into the gaps of the system. She also learned first hand the pain and heartache of doing everything right, in diet and exercise, and still having to struggle with her weight.
With an enormous amount of money spent on doctors, tests and treatments, Wendi had just enough money in her budget for food. She learned how to make that work. Her healing began in her kitchen, with real foods. That was her approach as a competitor, in recovery from disease and that is her approach to this very day. Wendi is more passionate than ever about teaching, training and inspiring others to achieve their very best.
