Cauliflower pizza crusts are incredibly popular right now, but they can be intimidating to try and make yourself. If you don't make it right, then you'll end up with a soggy mess of a pizza. Luckily, we're here to help! This how-to guide for making your own gluten free cauliflower pizza crust will walk you through each step. You'd never guess how easy it could be to make your own low-carb, homemade pizza! So grab your apron and start cooking today. You'll never go back to frozen gluten free pizza again.

Makes1 pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, stems removed and chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  •
  • FOR THE TOPPINGS:
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1-2 cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions

To Make the Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.

  2. Place the cauliflower florets into a food processor. Pulse until they're the texture of rice.

  3. Pour the cauliflower into a large bowl and microwave uncovered for 5 minutes on high. Remove from the microwave and allow to cool to room temperature.

  4. Once cool, place cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze all the liquid out. Be sure to really squeeze, and squeeze some more when you think you can't squeeze anymore. The end result should be quite dry for a successful crust.

  5. Return the cauliflower to the bowl and add remaining crust ingredients.

  6. Spread onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet and press into the pizza shape of your choice.

  7. Bake the crust for approximately 10 to15 minutes. The crust should be golden and crispy. Once golden, remove from the oven and top with marinara sauce and cheese.

  8. Place back in the oven and turn on the broiler. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden. Be careful because it will burn quickly!

  9. Slice and serve immediately.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I have been looking for a cauliflower pizza crust but the ones I have found add in flour (gf of course) and make a dough. I love this one. I'm definitely going to make it. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. You have made my day!

I never would have thought of this on my own. It looks so tasty, too!
