my favorite Christmas tradition is making Christmas cookies.

Decorating the Christmas Tree.

We have several, but a favorite is homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

My Christmas traditions included making lots of candies and cookies and having a big dinner on Christmas Day.

Gluten free is so much healthier for my family! We can tell the difference.

Starting the first week of December, I like to pull out my Christmas music - Canadian Brass, Classical Gas, the Pentatonix, various religious albums of carols and listen to them as I complete household tasks. Usually I'm singing or be-bopping along with the music as I clean, bake, make holiday crafts, write Christmas cards etc.

my favorite Christmas Tradition is going Christmas caroling when I was young I went with my sisters and now I take my children

We used to open one Christmas present on Christmas Eve when the children were small and then we would have Egg Nog and special cookies that I made just for my children.

I love decorating the tree with the kids.

When the grand children were little we would have our Christmas over Thanksgiving weekend because we live north to south on the east coast. It was nice because we couldn't be together for Christmas and it let them be with the other side of their family.

My family goes to a local park to look at Christmas lights. We've done it every year since I was born!

I hide a figurine of baby Jesus for each child. They must find the one with their name on it and then tell what Christmas is really about. Then they can open gifts.

Our family always has a seafood feast on Christmas Eve before we attend the midnight service.

Buying American gifts for my German granddaughter.

Favourite Christmas Tradition Enjoying the day with family!

My favorite Christmas tradition is making cookies with the grandkids and spending time with family.

My favourite Christmas tradition is going to my dads on Christmas eve and hosting my mom, step dad and siblings here on Christmas day.

I love cookies! Thanks for all the good recipes.

Watching It's a Wonderful Life, Scrooge and White Christmas.

Standing together while the last ornament, an antique glass owl, is hung on the tree, and the lights are plugged in for the fist time. Family magic!

Making hundreds, no, THOUSANDS, of Christmas Cookies to give as gifts to family and friends!

I have no kids, so I generally host a buffet brunch open house with family, and friends know they can stop by for a bite and glass of holiday cheer. Fun!

Making tamales every year with the family and the family keeps getting bigger love it

My family always does a White Elephant gift exchange which gets very silly and fun. I also love my family's tradition of watching Christmas Vacation. I think it gets funnier every year!

My children have moved away and it is very difficult being alone but I try to keep up my Christmas spirit so I go to the dollar store, buy lots of Xmas wrap, bows, and tape and leave them on door steps with a little note to ease the stress on those who have even less than I do. Its a little thing but someone did it for me years ago, and it made me so happy. I also leave little, supportive "love notes" in public bathrooms and libraries in hopes that someone will not feel so all alone during the holidays. Then I just trust that the person who needs to read them will find them.

My sister and I always watch the black and white version of Miracle on 34th Street movie.

My personal tradition is putting on the DVD to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer while I am wrapping presents!

We always watch It's A Wonderful Life and bake Christmas Cookies )

I make a lot of fudge that everyone in the family seem to really like si instead of the same old boring tin of fudge I make family a molded Christmas tree that is decorated.

Getting together with the family the evening before Christmas day, eating and opening presents

Our Christmas morning coffee run and opening presents!

My Mom and I watch as many Christmas movies as we can around Christmas. White Christmas is one of our favorites )

The past few Christmases have been a little different, with family moving away from my home town (and my niece being born on Christmas day two years ago!). But we always make time to make candy peanut butter snowballs and enjoy them, even while everyone is busy with other activities.

Really just the whole atmosphere. Lighting incense, putting up the tree, listening to Christmas music, having a fire in the fireplace, having family over, going to a nice dinner on Christmas Eve, all those lovely things.

Instead of buying everyone gifts, my grandmother shops around garage sales and dollar stores throughout the year. The presents will range from silly to serious. In the past, we've received a box of chocolate, an umbrella, a pair of mittens, a McDonald's Happy Meal toy, and even a dancing pumpkin decoration. She'll wrap the presents, and we'll play a game of Bingo. When you win, you get to choose a gift. It's hilarious to see everyone's reaction when someone unwraps a singing fish or a pair of mismatched socks. The best part is that the money my grandmother saves on gifts goes to a local charity.

Every year, even though me and all of my sisters are adults now, we will spend Christmas Eve together and before we go to bed on Christmas Eve we will make a fire and my dad will read us Twas the Night Before Christmas. He's done this since we were little and could sit on his lap, and now we all sit on the couch mouthing the words with him since we all have it memorized.

LOVE driving through our neighborhood looking at all of the lights and decorations. Our neighbors go ALL OUT )

A few weeks before Christmas, my family always watches Miracle on 34th Street (the original black and white version) while eating Chinese takeout. When the movie is over, we each get to open one present. A bit of a "sneak peek" of what's to come.

On Christmas Eve, we go to Mass and then head straight over to Olive Garden for dinner with our old neighbors. I always order the EXACT SAME thing - stuffed chicken marsala. What can I say? I'm a creature of habit.

We go out to eat on Christmas Eve every year too, CScarnegie! We go to a local restaurant called Petey's. My dad's family has been going for over 30 years.

Every year since it came out in 1989, my family has watched the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie. You'd think we'd be sick of it but we all still laugh hysterically every time.

My dog LOVES to open presents and to rip up paper. Every year we let her help open up our presents. It makes a big mess, but its so much fun.

My grandma and I make peanut butter fudge every year on Christmas Eve. She has this ridiculously complicated recipe, but it makes the most amazing fudge, and it's always a good time :)

On the night we decorate the house for Christmas each year, my family always turns all the lights off in the house once we're done decorating, turns on all the newly-hung Christmas lights, and sits down to share our favorite Christmas memories from throughout the years while enjoying the cozy glow from the Christmas lights.
