Did You Know?

When you first go gluten free, it's heartbreaking to know that pizza is off-limits. Luckily, you won't have to go without a cheesy, saucy pizza for long. Even though you can't enjoy a wheat pizza crust, there are many gluten free versions that you can enjoy. Here are a few of our favorites:

  1. Pizza Casseroles: With a pizza casserole, you'll taste the ever-popular pizza flavor but in a different form. We suggest you try the bubble up pizza casserole featured above.

  2. Pizzas with a Homemade Gluten Free Crust: You can always make your own gluten free crust with a unique blend of gluten free flours. If you're looking for a recipe, then we suggest this gluten free pizza crust.

  3. Pizzas with a Cauliflower Crust: Although making a crust out of cauliflower sounds a bit odd, we promise that it will taste amazing! Cauliflower is a great base because it takes on the the classic pizza flavor with the addition of seasonings. You won't even notice a difference, so go ahead and try this yummy recipe.

  4. Store-Bought Pizzas: Feeling lazy? Then you don't need to make a homemade pizza; instead you can buy a frozen gluten free pizza from the grocery store. There are so many new gluten free products hitting the stores, so you can try a few options!

  5. Restaurant Pizzas: With the rise in gluten free popularity, more restaurants than ever have started offering gluten free alternatives. This goes for gluten free pizza, too. If you decide to buy a pizza from a restaurant, double check to make sure the pizza is free from cross contamination.

This would be a great recipe to make when the family is craving pizza, but you want to give them something a bit healthier.

This looks great. I would like to try it with my own gluten free pizza dough. I really don't like the idea of using expandex so I might use the rest of the recipe, just not the dough. You could also throw other toppings on such as chopped peppers or sausage.
